“Black Magic”

What can be better then drinking your favorite beer? How about drinking your two favorite beers, at the same time! A “Black Magic” is half Magic Hat #9, and half Guinness. Their distinct difference in densities is apparent the moment Guinness is poured into the glass. A clear line is drawn when the not quite pale ale with apricot undertones sits comfortably below as dark Guinness rest upon its shoulders creating a perfect head.

The densities between the two brewing marvels keep them separated very easily, almost as easily as oil and water. Even when swirled or stirred they will eventually go back to their designated locations. The difference in color is obvious and can be seen across even the darkest of bars, and will leave people to wonder what it is you are imbibing. And more often then not, if they ask, they will order one simply for the experience.

When drinking this masterful concoction one primarily consumes the Guinness first, or most of it anyway, leaving a larger portion of Magic Hat #9 in the remainder of the glass. The physics of the whole thing don’t make it rocket science but unless you’re drinking through a straw, (which I am not suggesting) the Guinness gets drunk first, or should I say that the Guinness gets you drunk first… The two unique flavors are matched very well with each other and give this beverage its own distinct taste that could have only been rendered through Voo-Doo!
